Walk from Los Cristianos Port to Las Vistas

The municipality of Arona, in the south of Tenerife, offers a wide variety of leisure and relaxation options that visitors can enjoy throughout the year with the pleasant weather for outdoor activities. The area of Las Vistas, which can be reached on foot in about ten minutes from Los Cristianos Port, is the best option for people arriving on a cruise who would like to discover part of this enclave of the Canary Islands on their own. A chance to take a short walk and combine sport and relaxation at the beach, seaside strolls, enjoy a day of shopping and taste the local gastronomy.

Las Vistas Beach – a family stroll along the beach when you disembark

This golden beach in the municipality of Arona in the south of Tenerife is a favourite with Tenerife residents and visitors alike – probably due to the options it provides for both sport and relaxation. Its calm waves (it has breakwaters) make it the perfect place to enjoy with the family. It has access for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, and all the essential services right on the beach: toilets, showers, loungers and sunshades, restaurants… Las Vistas is the perfect spot for adults and children to relax in peace or for doing water sports.

Las Vistas Promenade – connecting the cruise liner to the city

Around Las Vistas Beach stretches the promenade – a lively pedestrian area on two levels that you can get to via steps at different points along it. Little whitewashed houses that look like homes are really souvenir shops and catering and leisure establishments where you can find a souvenir or stop and have a drink or something to eat with sea views. You can skate or take a bike ride along the promenade, which connects the different beaches in the tourist area of Los Cristianos – a fun and different way to enjoy the seaside.

Shopping Centre Sprees – shopping at cruise speed

There is nowhere better than the Oasis Shopping Centre —one of the most popular centres in the south of Tenerife— for a shopping spree. On the Avenida de Las Américas and near Las Vistas Beach, you can reach it on foot from the seafront promenade. Shopping fans will be able to found a wide range of clothes, accessory, perfume, technology and sports shops. Next door is the Safari Shopping Centre with the most prestigious international labels. It is one of the best options for finding a diversity of products and prices in one place in a short space of time, or just for taking a stroll around it.

Enjoying the surroundings and the gastronomy on the way back to the boat

As it is a coastal area, the main item in the gastronomy of Las Vistas is fish. All along the Las Vistas Promenade, you will be able to enjoy traditional Canary Islands dishes made with fresh fish, accompanied by "papas arrugadas" (wrinkly potatoes) and green or red "mojo" (typical Canary Islands sauces) at any of the establishments with their open-air dining, enjoying tasty food in privileged surroundings with sea views to end the day with a lovely walk back to your boat.
